QuickDraw®
QuickDraw® is fluid sampling system that provides a representative sample, prevents external contamination, takes 1/3 the time of other methods, and is safe. QuickDraw®, used on pressurized systems, consists of a permanently installed valve, and a disposable cap/tube/needle assembly.

The valve is available in:

  • 1/4 and 1/8 NPT brass and stainless steel
  • 7/16 and 9/16 SAE with O-ring in brass
  • Metric sizes available (there is a lead time since they are manufactured to order)

The valve should be installed upstream of the filter, at the inlet if possible. QuickDraw® has a smooth clear tube to assure no particles are trapped in the tube. A minimum of 4lb. pressure is required to activate the relief valve, the comfortable range for extracting a sample is from 4-100 lb. pressure. Every cap/tube/needle assembly is checked for cleanliness, and every valve is checked for leaks at completion of manufacture.

Vampire®
Vampire®, a registered trademark of Easy-Vac, is used to extract samples from non-pressurized systems.

Vampire® components include:

  • Vampire® Pump
  • Tubing available in 54", 72", 100" rolls

The cap is attached to the sample jar, a tube is inserted in the pump, and inserted into the oil fill/dipstick to extract a sample.

Red Cap
Red Cap is a valve with a red anodized push button that is permanently installed in a pressurized system. The sample is extracted by opening the dust cap and filling the sample jar directly. It does not use the cap/tube needle assembly.

The valve is available in:

  • 1/4 and 1/8 NPT brass only
  • Does NOT use the cap/tube/needle assembly
  • Recommended for mobile equipment, on- and off-road

To obtain a sample remove the safety cap from the valve and place the jar under the spout. Depress the red push button as far a it will go to fill the jar. Replace the safety cap, complete the paper work, and the sample is ready to go.

Red Cap was developed for mobile equipment applications at the request of a customer. This valve is not recommended for industrial applications.
